1. There is no fixed amount that a debt review cost, but rather the amount charged for the debt review will depend on what the consumer can afford. The payment method for debt review is given by the credit act and is structured in such a way that the consumer will never pay anything "extra" than he/she will pay each month for the debt review. How this works is that for the first two months after applying the consumer does not pay his/her creditors but rather pay the debt counsellor and the attorney for their services in these months.
  2. The service fee of the debt counsellor is worked out by taking the affordable amount of the consumer for that month, in the second month the attorneys fees will also be this amount and anythingthat may not have been paid will be worked into the repayment plan. This means that the consumer never pays anything that he/she cannot afford but instead pays one affordable amount from the first month of the debt review until all his or her debt have been paid.
